SOCIETY OF WOOD ENGRAVERS 86th ANNUAL EXHIBITION

I’m delighted that my wood engraving print “Morning Walk 2” was chosen to be part of this year’s SWE exhibition. This is an amazing show that will be touring the UK. Starting in London, it will then travel to Newcastle, Banchory, Oxford and Thirsk.
“in 2020 the Society of Wood Engravers celebrated its centenary year. It was founded in 1920 by a group of distinguished artists, including Lucien Pissarro, Gwen Raverat and Eric Gill. The purpose was to encourage the practice and patronage of wood engraving by organising exhibitions, which included both what were thought of as fine art prints, and also illustrations. The role of the Society remains fundamentally unchanged.”

My wood engraving print ‘Snowfall’ has been selected for the Wood Engravers’ Network Triennial exhibition. This is an exhibition bringing together 60 relief prints from US-based and international artists. Curated by Max Yela, who is Head of Special Collections at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Libraries.
The first venue will be Stockton University Art Gallery in New Jersey, to open in early June and be on display through the second week of July. Check the Wood Engravers Network for future venues (link below).

Southbank printmakers Miniprint exhibition

Southbank Printmakers Gallery, London
Two of my new prints, ‘Home 4’ and ‘Beach Study’ have been selected for this exhibition. The annual miniprint exhibition is the perfect fit for my small work as the size limit is 10 x 10 cm. There will be over 400 mini prints on display including etchings, linocuts, monoprints, screenprints, lithographs, collographs and more. If you like small prints, do stop in and check out the exhibition!

I’m delighted to share that I have a selection of prints in this exciting exhibition in Brighton. When Jon contacted me to say they were curating an exhibition showcasing various artistic aspects of Wood, from furniture, to woodcut prints, I knew it would be a great fit for my work.
